Location: Greenham
Common Estovers feeder scrub
Session: 29-Apr-2018 07:40 to
11:00hrs
Headlines: What miserable
weather, understand I missed the summer here this year while I was away in the
sunny EU. A steady capture for much of the morning couldn’t keep our minds off
the cold. A couple of Blackbird recaptures that had changed sex, not a big
thing I suppose these days. It is nice to capture a few arriving summer
visitors. This was a bit of a filler session due to the late start to the CES
season.
Weather: overcast, cold,
breezy
Present: JL, IW
Nets: 54metres two 12M in
gorse scrub and an 18M and 12M in feeder enclosure scrub up from 08:00 to 10:30hrs

Whitethroat singing in the car park scrub gave some good views, four Jays
acting very strange, flying about and making unusual calls, a few summer migrants on
territory otherwise the usual stuff.
