17/02 Greenham Estovers(616) Feeder

We put the usual nets up at the Estovers Feeder from 08:00 to 10:00hrs. During the period very little came to the feeder and we captured no birds; very disappointing particularly as we are scheduled  to give a short demonstration to BBOWT CTs etc on the 21st.

Here is my list of sightings combined with Ian's; the Common Gulls were unusual and Ravens are quiet (breeding) at the moment. Still no winter finches at the feeder or on the common. BirdTrack shows reporting of both Siskin and Redpoll to be lower than the norm for mid-Feb. The latter is showing a small increase since January so it is still not too late but not looking good.
