Session: 06-Jun-2019 06:40 to
10:10hrs
Notes: I intended to ring
yesterday but although there was a light breeze when I left home, by the time
I reached site it had increased enough to make rnging impossible. The first
reasonable capture of the year so far with a good variety including a couple
of scarcely ringed species, Linnet and Stonechat. In recent years here, we
have captured big flocks of Long-tailed Tits at this time of year, today we
had nine plus an adult so quite an easy time. Otherwise a
typical random capture.
Weather: bright, sunny
clouding over few spots of rain as we took the nets down, light wind breezy
later
Present: JL, RJC, IW
Nets: 48metres in three
rides of 18m, 18m, 12m up from 07:00 to 10:00hrs
Lure ( ): none

LOTTI ringed 03/10/2018
We often capture Stonechat at this time of year, this is a nice recently fledge juvenile, with the hint of white around the neck it is probably a male.
Sightings 34 Species: a typical
list, some species were relatively quiet and not easy to detect. There may have been more Swifts as we were not sure if there were several groups or the same ones flying about. The Lesser Whitethroat started singing as we left.
