Session:
Notes: The weather
restricted my ringing intentions this week, today being the first reasonable
ringing weather since Monday. Had a good session with a good movement of
Blackcap and Whitethroat, also a few Garden Warblers. The fifth Lesser
Whitethroat of the season and three Stonechats were the highlights for me. Normally
when we capture Stonechats we see and hear them coming across the heathland. Today
they just appeared the nets one at a time. The only sighting of one throughout
the session was a very smart male, in recently renewed plumage, skulking in a
rose bush. A good steady pleasant
session.
