24/09 Greenham Common

Location: Greenham Common Western Enclosure Week 38 
Session: 24/09/2021, 07:30 to 10:50hrs 
Notes: Conditions good early in the session then a bank of low murky cloud arrived with a brisk breeze that eventually cleared back to bright sun. There was little evidence of Chiffchaff out on the heath unlike the last few days so the 15 captured was probably a movement through the site; nine in one net on one round. 
Immature male Stonechat
Present: JL,IW 
Weather: Sunny early clouding over and cold mid-session, westerly breeze, clearing to Sun later 
Nets: 48metres in 3 rides of 18M, 18M, 12M up from 07:50 to 10:30hrs 
Lures Audio: Sylvia and Phylos Warblers, Crests, Yellow-browed Warbler, Meadow Pipit, Scarce Summer Migrants (chats, pipits, thrushes etc)

Great Tit                   ringed: 29/06/2021

Sightings: Swallows through in groups heading west fast, there may have been two male Kestrels, few Meadow Pipits today and no Blackbirds seen? otherwise quiet.
