Session:
Notes: No Chiffchaff for the first time this season.
A Blackcap female probably the best bird of the session, although the Robin
first ringed Oct 2020 and recovered twice (Jun and Oct) in 2021 is interesting;
when recaptured in Jun it had a brood patch and thus was a female breeding
nearby. Nine Goldcrest, seven females and two males, made up the bulk of today’s ringing.
Recaptures: (01)
Robin ringed: 22/10/2020
Sightings: Not much about, some movement south by a few of the Woodpigeons. The female Sparrowhawk was being harassed by two Carrion Crows beyond the trees to the south-southwest. The few Redwings seen were mostly flying about in twos and threes around the area taking little notice of the audio. One of the Dartford Warblers was ringed; probably the only one ringed this year so far in July by KMB.
