The session began in a light drizzle, more like a misting than drizzle, cloud was very low and it was dark, dank and repressive with occasional breezy gusts; a quite unpleasant environment. The reed bed remains relatively quiet so it looks as if we have all the returning migrants we are going to get. Just three Blue Tits, one a juvenile, just about sum it up; usually it would be a good flock near double figures. Even less Sedge Warbler activity than visit 04; Cuckoos still active. The weather brightened up a little as we took the nets down.
