Headlines: Not a bad morning
with Chiffchaffs on the move bulking out the numbers. Blackcap numbers still relatively low and we
are now capturing probably the last Willow Warbler and Whitethroat of this
season; only stragglers from now on. Probably the best bird captured, a Reed
Bunting was released un-ringed or I had two rings of the same number; only way
I will know is if I capture it again, if it is ringed that is? Chiffchaff were captured a
few each round while the Blackcaps were all captured about half way through on
the same round as was the Whitethroat. Tits still scarce had it been a previous
year numbers would have been considerably more than below.
