05/12 Greenham Haysoms Drive

Ringed the garden for the first time this year. One 10metre net in front of two Sunflower heart feeders. The net was up for about four hours and captured nine Goldfinch. All 1st calendar year except one adult male; The 1st winter birds consisted of five males and 3 females. In the bright sun the net was very visible so the capture does not reflect the numbers using the feeder. Species today at the feeder included about 20 Goldfinch, six Greenfinch, a couple of Blue Tit and a Coal Tit. Feeding below the feeders two to five Woodpigeons and two Stock Doves also a Dunnock, a Robin and four Chaffinch.
