28/08 Greenham Common

Location: Greenham Common Western Enclosure

Session: 28-Aug-2019 07:20 to 11:10hrs

Notes: A big capture day, well the first round consisted of 37 birds; the first tit/warbler flock of the year. We missed a lot of the Long-tailed tits, they crossed to one side of the enclosure, a pity we didn’t capture more as all those we did get had rings with consecutive number except for one that was three digits further on. Another Tree Pipit the second of the season. Still wondering where the Blue Tits are coming from.

Weather: overcast with sunny period, cool warming up later, calm to light breeze.

Sightings 32 Species: Ian’s list, the Swallows mostly gather on the bunker fence drinking from the pool on the grassland. The Lesser Whitethroats in the nearby scrub did not react to the audio,
