Sightings: What we thought was a Grey Heron flying high towards us from the south against the light, when it got alongside out of the sun, turned out to be a Great White Egret; good for the new year list. Corvids were relatively inactive with no sign of the Jackdaw flock that is usually about.  Buzzards and Kite soared and circled over the top field. The Siskin flock was down to three birds today.
