13/03 Snelsmore Common

Session: 13/03/2022 07:45 to 11:15hrs
Notes. A very slow start today with the first birds not coming to the feeder until just before 09:00hrs. The extra net captured 3 female Chaffinches, amongst others, that we could ring as the was no sign of the papilloma virus infection that many Chaffinch have here. Most birds arrived towards the end of the session. 
Present: JL,IW,JHW,DL,IQ
Weather: overcast some sunny periods, a few spots of rain, cold.
Nets: 24metres 3 Rides, a6M nets one each side of feeder and a 12m nets just west of the feeders up  from 08:00 to 11:00 hrs
Lures: Feeder: Fat Balls, Niger, Black Sunflower, Peanut and Mixed Seed ground bait.

Sightings: not much to report, a couple of Ravens the only birds of note.
