Session: 11-Oct-2016 07:45 to
11:30hrs
Headlines: With heavy low fog
there was little movement and for much of the session there we captured just one or two per round. As the fog lifted activity increased and a large flock of
Redwings ground on the heath but ignored the audio unfortunately, probably not
from the area our song originated. It was not until about 10:00hrs that the
fog cleared completely and captures began after a pause. On the last round to
take the nets down we had captured 10 so the decision to stay until 11:00hrs
increased numbers by over 50%.
Weather: Thick low fog for
about half the session cleared to bright sun, mostly cool, warm in the
sun. Mostly calm with the occasional breezy period.
