Headlines: With heavy low fog there was little movement and for much of the session there we captured just one or two per round. As the fog lifted activity increased and a large flock of Redwings ground on the heath but ignored the audio unfortunately, probably not from the area our song originated. It was not until about 10:00hrs that the fog cleared completely and captures began after a pause. On the last round to take the nets down we had captured 10 so the decision to stay until 11:00hrs increased numbers by over 50%.

Weather: Thick low fog for about half the session cleared to bright sun, mostly cool, warm in the sun. Mostly calm with the occasional breezy period.

Lure (audio): Blackcap, Chiffchaff, Firecrest, Goldcrest, Redwing, Yellow-browed Warbler, Grey Wagtail intermittently

Capture (New/Recapture) 18 (16/2): Blackbird 2/0, Blackcap 2/0, Blue Tit 1/0, Chiffchaff 5/0, Goldcrest 4/0, Long-tailed Tit 2/1, Wren 0/1

Recaptures: (2) Long-tailed Tit 357d, Wren 40d

Age Range: all 1st CY except adults Blackbird 1, Chiffchaff 1

Two today's capture both 1st CY a Blackcap and a Chiffchaff

Sightings 25 Species: Not very much activity apart from a flurry of movement after the fog lifted.
