08/01 Snelsmore Common Feeder

Location: Snelsmore Common Feeder
Session: 08-Jan-2017 07:40 to 11:15hrs
Headlines: A steady flow of captures until it tailed off around 10:30hrs. The majority of birds were recaptures and good numbers of Coal Tit as well as a better capture of Blue Tit. Treecreeper and Goldcrest are unusual captures at feeders. The matching visit of the 2015/16 winter had similar numbers but less variety and many more 1st winter Blue Tits. A typical session here for the time of year, the damp conditions were not particularly comfortable though.

Nets: 12metres a 6m net each side of feeders up from 08:00 to 11:
Lure (feeders): Fat Balls, Black Sunflower, Peanuts
