Location:Thatcham Marsh LNR visit 2017.10 Session:06-Aug-2017 05:30 to
10:45hrs Headlines:Weather conditions
were quite good for CES 10 so a poor capture is disappointing but not
unexpected. 23 is below the average of 40 for visit 10; range 2016-14 1995-85. Most acrocephalus warblers have left the reed bed along with many other
migrants due to the wet weather in recent weeks; having just come back myself
from the Med I am inclined to follow. As can be seen from the tables below
2016’s matching visit was even worse. Just two more visits to go before we can
used lures to see what is passing through the site. Weather: Sunny periods, warm,
calm Present:JL, IW, DL, JHW Nets:108metres in one standard
net ride; no additional nets; up from 06:15 to 10:15hrs Lure (none): Capture (New/Recapture)
