Now that we are using the BTO DemographyOnline System it is much easier to get access to data. Below are ringing totals for January in 2018 and 2017. Blue Tit as expected are the most captured. Below this however the order between the two years shows one or two differences. Goldfinch numbers for 2018 are down 24/43 and Great Tit up 87/43. Numbers for the other species are similar. 2017 and 2018 are not the best totals we have had for January, might have a look at some earlier years sometime as I think some years will be quite different.
