Session:
Headlines: A pre CES visit to
the LNR site. Bridge over stream is a concern; one jetty is live and the other
sinking and very slippery. Without JHW we probably would not have crossed. Not
much activity on the reed bed apart from Cetti’s Warblers who were quite
active and vocal. No migrants captured despite there being a good number of
Chiffchaff feeding mostly in the scrub. Not quite up to the 2017 matching
visit but perhaps an indication of how the prolonged cold wet weather is holding
back migrants and the spring season.
