Session:
Headlines: Conditions not a good
as yesterday, quite breezy and a few spots of rain when putting up the nets. Avian
activity on the heath almost non-existent. The “same” Swallows as yesterday were
feeding over the heath, took some interest today in the audio but did not
persist. The first capture of a Garden Warbler and Willow Warbler was not
until 08:00hrs. No more birds captured until a Willow Warbler at 09:10 and another 09:40hrs. We intended to take the nets down promptly at 10:00hrs but on
arrival at the nets we had almost doubled the capture with four birds in the
nets. The weather had picked up a bit reverting to a light breeze and some
blue sky. We decided to process the birds and then take the nets down. By this
time the weather had deteriorated, and the breeze was even stronger than before.
On returning we had captured another Garden Warbler. The matching
visit is the same as the one shown yesterday as today is the matching date.
