29/10 Greenham Common

Location: Greenham Common Western Enclosure
Session: 29-Oct-2019 07:35to 10:30hrs
Notes:  A quiet day today, it was cold, and few birds were in the scrub. Each of the four birds captured arrived at different times; one per net round. A Meadow Pipit flew in the net while I was extracting one of the Goldcrest but got blown out again by the wind. A lot of walking about produced little.
Weather: overcast cold, calm early, breezy for most of the session.
Present: JL, IW
Nets: 48metres in three rides of 18m, 18m, 12m up from 08:00 to 10:15hrs
Lure (audio): autumn, BBCCGCFC, Yellow-browed Warbler, Meadow Pipit intermittently

Sightings 26 Species: Apart from winter thrushes not much moving. The Redwings were again flying southwest in groups, some towards the top end of double figures. A few more Fieldfares today, no big flocks yet. As there were no Stonechats about the Dartford Warbler appeared to be following a Robin instead for a while.
