Session: 13-Nov-2019 07:35 to
10:20hrs
Notes: Probably one of the
last sessions of the season, since most migration seems to have stopped.
However two of the Goldcrest, both males, had 57mm wing length; 52 to to 54 is
the norm for local birds. These probably came from further north. The third
Goldcrest was a female with a 52mm wing length. Last year’s matching visit
produced a Blackcap and a Chiffchaff, no sign of these species today.
Unfortunately had to leave promptly otherwise would have stayed longer and
enjoyed the sunny weather.
Weather: Present:
Nets: 48metres in three
rides od 18m, 18m, 12m up from 08:15 to 10:00hrs
Lure (Audio): Autumn, BCCCGCFC,
Meadow Pipit, Yellow-browed Warbler intermittently
