Session: 01-dec-2019 07:35 to
11:20hrs
Notes: A steady flow of
birds in the early part of the session; just one or two later. Not so many
Goldfinch at the feeders so far this year. A flock of about 35 arrived in the
trees and scrub around the feeder, mostly they dropped down to feed on the
ground. We tried to nudge one on the niger feeder into the nets but on both
attempt it bounced out. A better capture than last year’s matching visit looks
to be due to the increased number of Blue and Great Tits from the last
breeding season.
