Location: Bagnor
Feeder
Session: 18-Feb-2020, 07:45 to
11:15hrs
Notes: Spotted a gap in the
windy wet weather this morning and although it was forecast to be breezy the
direction of the wind meant that the feeder was sheltered by Mount Hill. We
had a reasonable capture dominated by Blue Tits. Another Chaffinch without papilloma
virus at this feeder, hopefully the infection is subsiding in the local
population. It got very windy as we took the nets down and rain clouds were
building. Just one Blue Tit in last winter’s matching visit capture and so far,
no sign of any Siskins at the feeders this half of the winter.
Weather: Sunny periods, cool, light
breeze early gaining strength towards the end.
Present: JL,IW
Nets: 12metres in 2 nets one
6M each side of feeders up from 08:00 to 11:00hrs
Lure (Feeder): Peanut, Black
Sunflower, Niger, Fat Balls
