Common Western Enclosure

Notes: Second visit of the summer included four Stonechats and two
more Linnets. Kept the nets up until 10:30hrs to fill the bottom of the ringing
book page; needed one bird ringed five. It was getting quite warm when we took
the nets down.

Juvenile Male Stonechat
Adult Male Stonechat
Sightings 31 Species: not much movement about the heath. The Swallow I saw
when driving down towards the site; hirundine and particularly Swallows are
very scarce on the common this year. The only sign of passage was three Lesser
Black-backed Gulls south.
