Notes: Warm from early today with bright blue sky. Willow
Warblers the main species on the move and a few Chiffchaffs. Matching visit from
last year had a few more birds.

Weather: sunny, bright warm, calm
Nets: 48metres in 3 net
rides, two 18M and one 12M net up from 07:30 to 10:30hrs

Migrants, Redstart, intermittently.

Sightings 28 Species Sparrowhawk only raptor seen, no kites or buzzards. As the heat of the day
increased activity in the scrub decreased although many were flycatching ants;
Starlings, Stonechats and a Chiffchaff in particular. There seems to be a regular flight of seven Mallards north, we have seen them several times at about the same time of day recently.
