24/09 Greenham Common

Location: Greenham Common Western Enclosure Week 39
Session: 24-Sep-2020, 07:40 to 11:20hrs
Notes: It was very windy today which probably limited the capture of the diminishing number of summer migrants heading south. The unsettled weather has been a feature of this summer.
I have added a week 39 summary, there are no matching 2019 visits for week 39 to compare, I was cruising along the Iberian coast, remember those times!
Present:  JL
Weather: Sunny periods, cool, strong blustery WSW breeze .
Nets: 48metres in 3 net rides, two 18M and a 12M net up from 08:00 to 11:00hrs
Lure (Audio): Warblers, Misc Migrants, Autumn, WagPips, Wryneck, Yellow-browed Warbler intermittently.

Recaptures: (none)
Sightings 22 Species: A group of swallows going west, and a single flock of House Martins fairly high up drifted in the same direction. Woodlarks active again today but no sign of any Stonechats and not heard or seen the Dartford Warblers for the last three visits. Just one pair of eyes so possibly missed a few although I had plenty of time to wander around the area.
