30/03 Snelsmore Common

Location: Snelsmore Common Feeder
Session: 30-03-2021, 07:30 to 10:45hrs
Notes: We decided to try a second late visit to the Snelsmore feeder, but most birds have stopped visiting spending their time on territory so we were not very busy. The first bird in the net was a Chaffinch. Unfortunately it had papilloma infected legs and could not be ringed. A Siskin came down to feed and bounced out of the net, probably the most exciting moment of the morning.
Present: JL,IW,RJC
Weather: Sunny. Calm warm
Nets: 12metres in 6m nets each side of feeder, up from 08:00 to 11:00hrs
Lure (feeders): fat balls, black sunflower, peanuts, niger
