15/06 Greenham Common

Location: Greenham Common Western Enclosure
Session: 15/06/2021, 07:20 to 10:45hrs
Notes: Week 24 is when we start to ring regularly at this migration site.
A family party of recently fledged Whitethroats and a few dispersing recently fledged juveniles. The Willow Warbler had just started primary moult. A tatty female Blue Tit ringed here last year was probably a parent of some or all of the three juveniles ringed during the session.
Present: JL,NC,IW
Weather: Sunny, light breeze, warm
Nets: 48metres in 3 rides of 18M, 18M, 12M up from 08:30 to 10:30hrs
Lures Audio: Warblers and Misc Migrants (I wasn’t able to get the other units up and running continuously, need to remind myself how to change settings)

Sightings 28 species: Ian’s list, probably missed a few species, nothing unexpected, no Blackcaps again or Robins.
