Session:
Sightings 25 species: The lack of
birds to ring meant we spent much of the time watching the pair of Dartford
Warblers flying back and forth, with juicy green caterpillars, feeding their
young in a nest somewhere in a gorse bush near the car. Just as we were
leaving, loading the car with ringing paraphernalia, Ian noticed a youngster even
closer to the car that had just fledged from the nest. Closer still was a
second and when they flew across the track a third followed also an adult that fed
one in a rose bush. The Swifts were seen over towards the town.
