Session:
Notes: Another wind affected session. The north-easterly that has prevailed
since mid-August is just about the worst direction for this site unfortunately and
is forecast to continue well into September. Managed to capture a few
Blackcaps which with Chiffchaff should dominate over the next three weeks.
Sightings: The now regular-ish Canada Goose
flock heading towards Lower Farm GP was preceded by a Greylag Goose flock going
in the same direction. It was again relatively quiet with some phylos and
sylvia warblers about the heath early and a smaller movement late in the
session. The Meadow Brown was the only insect seen and was in a very tatty
condition.
