Common Western Enclosure Week 36
Session: 08/09/2021, 07:30 to 11:00hrs
Notes: There seems to have been a small influx of Dunnocks over the last two
days. Not much
moving through the enclosure today; struggled to reach double
figures. The rest of the week
locks a bit iffy weather-wise.
One of the many Blackcaps mostly 1st CY males captured this week,
Looks like it has been eating blackberries

Weather: clear bright, sunny, hot, calm-ish early then the south-easterly
increased to a strong
breeze by the end of the session.
Nets: 48metres in 3 rides
of 18M, 18M, 12M up from 08:00 to 10:30hrs
Lures Audio: Audio – Sylvia and
Phylos Warblers, Crests, Grasshopper Warbler, Redstart,
Recaptures:(01)
Chiffchaff ringed: 12/06/2021 Thatcham Marsh LNR
Sightings: Probably missed a few.
Unusually for the common at least three Sand Martins were with a flock of House
Martins flying into wind. Heard a tit flock in the woods to the north, not sure
how many as they stayed deep in the woods
