17/09 Greenham Common

Location: Greenham Common Western Enclosure Week 37
Session: 17/09/2021, 07:30 to 11:00hrs
Notes: One reasonable capture then one or two each round. It has been a good week for migrating Blackcap and Chiffchaff and the last Willow Warbler of the year, perhaps.
Present: JL,IW
Weather: overcast with sunny periods, southerly light breeze getting stronger towards the end of the session, cool warming up in the sun.
Nets: 48metres in 3 rides of 18M, 18M, 12M up from 08:00 to 10:30hrs
Lures Audio: Audio – Sylvia and Phylos Warblers, Crests, Redstart, Yellow-browed Warbler, Grasshopper Warbler, Scarce Summer Migrants (chats, pipits, thrushes etc)

Blue Tit                    ringed: 07/09/2021, 13/09/2021

Chiffchaff                ringed: 21/07/2021

Sightings: Hirundine moving through for much of the session. Four Rooks  seen, a scarce species here recently and a few Meadow Pipits flying about maybe a sign of late Autumn.
