15/03 Bagnor Feeder

Location: Bagnor Feeder
Session: 15/03/2022 07:45 to 11:30hrs
Notes. Just a few Blue and Great Tits today. The Great Tits were all new so may have been wandering birds looking for territories. The mixed seed ground bait spread under the nets at the start was immediately eaten by three Pheasants. This is probably the last session here this winter period.
Present: JL,IW
Weather: overcast some sunny periods, calm. Cool.
Nets: 12metres 2 Rides, 6M nets one each side of feeders up  from 08:00 to 11:00 hrs
Lures: Feeder: Peanut , Black Sunflower, Niger, Fat Balls, and Mixed Seed ground bait.
Recaptures:(09)
Blue Tit               ringed: 02/11/2018, 18/02/2020, 09/11/2021x2, 18/01/2022x2
awaiting details of a Blue Tit re-trapped today ringed by others.
Sightings: Chiffchaff seem to have returned in numbers over the last three or four days, a Raven flew east towards Snelsmore Common, only finch seen was a lone Goldfinch at the end of session from the car as I was leaving site. The Chaffinches present until recently feeding near Jannaways and calling along the cress beds appear to left the area.
