20/03 Greenham Common

Location: Greenham Feeder
Session: 20/03/2022 07:45 to 11:30hrs
Notes. The last session this winter here and the squirrels are back on the feeders jumping from the tree bouncing off the baffle on to the hanging rail and the feeders. RAD who is living locally for a while joined us. Mostly the usual Blue and Great Tits plus a couple of Dunnocks, a Goldfinch and a Great Spotted Woodpecker. Chiffchaffs singing but no captures from the scrub nets.

Weather: Sunny, calm, cool.
Nets: 24metres 2 Rides, 12mx3 scrub nets and 6Mx2 nets one each side of feeders up  from 08:00 to 11:00 hrs
Lures: Feeder: Niger, Mixed Seed, Black Sunflower, Peanut.

The Blue Tit re-trapped at the Bagnor Feeder on the 15/03/2022 had been ringed at Harvey’s
Meadow, Hungerford on 06/12/2020 (464days 11kM)

Sightings: 27 Species Mostly Ian's list -  quiet, Woodlark, Chiffchaff in song and a couple of
Redwings dropped in for a few minutes, otherwise much as expected
