25/03 Greenham Common

Location: Greenham Common Western Enclosure
Session: 25/03/2022 07:45 to 10:50hrs
Notes. Speculative spring session just to see what might be about. With no lures the expectation was low. We don’t get many re-trap thrushes these days so the Song Thrush ringed here in June as a juvenile was good. None of the birds processed showed any signs of breeding activity apart from the Dunnock. Got an earful on the way out from a women who flagged me down and said I had no right or reason to be driving a car on common land, when I mentioned birds, the women became even angrier. It is very hard to stay polite sometimes.
