Notes: Another visit with poor species diversity, see last year’s matching visit below. The first juvenile Reed Warblers today, the earliest since at least 2000 on CES visits and with a juvenile Robin the first juveniles ringed here this year.

Weather: bright sunny, clouding over then clearing, cool, light breeze.
Nets: 198M reed bed ride up from 06:00 to 10:30hrs
Lures: None.

Sighting: Cuckoos still active, a family party of Long-tailed Tits in the scrub trees, a single Lapwing

flew over, female Sparrowhawk flew high east and a couple of House Martins over mid-morning.
