Nets: 2 18’ nets up from 08:00 to 11:00hrs
Lure: Feeders - Peanuts, Black Sunflower Seeds, Niger, Fat Balls
Capture: 87 Blue Tit 33&1, Coal Tit 14, Great Spotted Woodpecker 1, Great Tit 32&4, Marsh Tit 1, Nuthatch 1
Recaptures: All Pulli Blue Tit 1 from Box CP23, Great Tit 1 from CP21(2013) from WH24 and WH27
Age Range: All juveniles except Blue Tit 1, Great Tit 3
Notes: Good capture, kept us busy, no time to do a sightings count. Best bird Marsh Tit, was quite few here now fairly scarce but usually get a couple around the feeder. Good numbers of Blue Tits but more Great Tits is interesting. This site is always relatively good for Coal Tits. Equivalent session 07-Nov-2013 captured just 15: Blue Tit 7, Chaffinch 1, Coal Tit 5, Great Tit 2. Looks like a much better 2014 breeding season than last year.
