Notes: A good session, lacking retraps particularly Blue Tit and proportionately low numbers of Great Tit. Nice to have a capture of 26 Greenfinch. It has been quite a while since good numbers have been attracted to our feeders; perhaps a sign they are recovering from the bacteriological infection of the last few years. When I top the feeder up there are usually significant numbers of Chaffinches, they disappear as soon as we put nets up. The crows, Jackdaw and Magpie also disappear and fortunately today so did the grey squirrel.
The equivalent visit (10/11) last year had 31 captures: Blue Tit 22, Chaffinch 1, Coal Tit 2, Goldcrest 1, Great Tit 4, Marsh Tit 1
