Location: Mount Hill, Bagnor
Session: 23-Apr-2015 08:00 to 10:00hrs
Weather: Sunny Periods warm
Present: JL
Notes: 42 boxes checked: Blue Tit occupy 14 boxes, Great Tit occupy 6 boxes; Nuthatch occupy 2 boxes, all have incomplete clutches. 13 boxes still building (3 complete with no eggs), 5 boxes not occupied; one box wrecked by squirrels and one occupied by bumble bees (nest not the usual construction of moss but is of leaves and debris; possibly Tree Bumblebees said to be colonising from Europe).
This site consists of two hedge interconnected copses, a border and one area of ancient mixed woodland, and is always slightly behind Greenham and Snelsmore Commons in terms of take-up and building; fledging is usually around the same time though.

Sightings 33 Species: No count of individuals made. Includes a visit to the Woodspeen Sand Martin bank where take up is about the same as last year; 50+ holes being excavated.
