Sightings  35 Species: Yellow Wagtail a fly over, Whitethroats moved off early, Tree Pipit singing in the northwest corner of what was the runway overshoot. Elsewhere on the common: 5 Golden Plover and Wheatear on the gravel area west of 616 early morning, Nightingale singing at the Fire Plane Gravel, Swallows flying through, Wheatear probably in double figures over the whole Common today (7 reported out on the heath). Not seen the Ringed Plover pair on the Fire Plane Gravel since last Tuesday (7th) when the female appeared to be laying/sitting. On a walk around yesterday (13th) saw a stunning male Ring Ouzle; others saw 3! 1 possibly 2 Tree Pipit singing on Brackenhurst Heath. So a good start to the week.
