Juvenile Garden Warbler 1st one this year.

A good morning for a change but still lacking Reed Warblers; two retraps captured for the first time this year usually indicates birds beginning to move through. Still capturing a few Sedge Warblers and also the first Garden Warbler juvenile of the year. A 4year plus Cetti’s Warbler and Great Tit and a 3year plus Wren. Most captures were juveniles with a few worn looking adults. Some adults appear to be beyond breeding condition.


Sightings 43 Species: Linnet once common is now a scarce visitor. A family party of Water Rail heard and juveniles seen.  As with most visits this year, little movement over; regulars being a few gulls, swift and the ubiquitous Woodpigeon of course
