Notes: A good capture. Best bird Spotted ; it is a long time since we captured one (31-Aug 2011 PN nr Basingstoke. The last one captured at Thatcham Marsh 01-Sep-1996). Looking at 2015 captures, it is interesting that we captured: 4 Dunnock when we have only captured one or two occasionally all through the summer; perhaps an indication of the autumn influxes that were once very obvious here. 6 Goldcrest also shows the start of the autumn movement into and through the area that usually from mid-September. For the first time for a while just one Cetti’s Warbler captured; recent visits have produced up to 6, not so many singing either.

Sightings 45 Species: Spotted Flycatcher are very scarce here now as is the Lesser Spotted Woodpecker calling while I was taking my nets down. Also 2+ Migrant Hawker Dragonflies including a female extracted from a mist net.
