14/10 Greenham Common Western Enclosure

Weather: Sunny, cool clouding over and breezy later
Present: JL, DL
Nets: 160’ in three rides of 60’ 60’ 40’ up from 08:00hrs to 10:30hrs
Lure (audio): Blackcap, Chiffchaff, Goldcrest, Firecrest, Yellow-browed/Crest mix, Redwing, Meadow Pipit intermittently
Capture (New/Recapture) 9:

Age Range: All 1st winter except an adult Great Tit

Notes: A quiet morning, looks like the autumn passage out of the country is drawing to a close. Two Chiffchaff as I put the nets up followed by three Goldcrest then nothing for an hour. For the rest of the morning just single birds with long period between.

Sightings 23 Species: No much activity on the heath. A few Meadow Pipit, one or two Skylark, Pied Wagtail and Siskin flying about. A flock of Redwing flew west early morning and two Stonechat appeared late morning.
