Session: 13-Mar-2016 0720 to
11:30hrs
Headlines: Started in very thick
cold fog, could hear the finches in the trees above the feeders. The nets went
up easy for a change. We had several good captures. Tits absent early
otherwise mostly siskin, redpoll and goldfinch throughout. Had a visit from an
edgy RSPB group, some people need to cheer-up!
Weather: Foggy and quite cold
until the last half hour of the session when the fog completely cleared and
the sun came out. The wind direction meant the building gave the nets shelter so it
was calm.
Present: JL, IW, DL, GB, SC
Nets: 40m in rides of 12,
10, 12 and 6M up from 07:45 to 11:00hrs.
