Session: 16-Jul-2016 05:45 to
10:30hrs
Headlines: Although the weather
was acceptable but breezy on occasions, the capture was not affected because there
were few birds about. 23 in the standard nets is lowest ever visit 8
capture: range 1995-85 2014-24. The cumulative average for the visit is 319 so
the 249 of this year is disappointing. There are few Acrocephalus still on the
reed bed, most seem to have left, leaving a few pairs of mostly Reed Warbler and
their fledglings. Juveniles generally are few given the time of year. A pleasant mornings ringing though. Off for a Po Tak followed by some Plamuck Phad Baikapoa with Khoa Neaw later to cheer me up and of course a cool Singha beer.
Weather: Sunny, warm, breezy
early calmer later.
Present: JL, IW, DL, RJC, RGS
