Headlines: The first post CES
session enabling the use of audio lures. Lots of phylos present and probably
an under-estimate of Chiffchaff numbers. Two Chiffchaff from Greenham Common
Western Enclosure, both ringed there on the 31-July-2016. One
round of the nets produced 27 birds. A good session with plenty of ringing for
the trainees. Unlike last year the Reed Buntings did not respond to song. If
the weather had been better it could have been a much bigger capture. It was
windy from the start and eventually got too windy forcing an early finish.
