Summary: Very little activity on the heath today. 48metres of net in three rides up from 08:00 to 10:30hrs in ideal ringing condition: calm, overcast, cool. Just two birds ringed: a Goldcrest 1st winter male and an adult Wren. Thursday 26-Oct-2017 matching visit last year eight captured; Blackcap 2, Chiffchaff 1, Goldcrest 4 and Redwing 1.
Sightings 30 Species: Little movement over the heath, Woodpigeons moving south in scattered groups, one or two small flocks of Redwing flying about. No Meadow Pipits seen. New species for this week were Bullfinch and a high-ish north flying male Sparrowhawk.
