17/07 Thatcham Marsh LNR CES 2021-08

Notes: CES visit 8 total is on the low side mainly due to poor breeding outcomes (so far) of Reed Warbler and Sedge Warbler. Treecreepers are scarce in recent years so nice to know they are still breeding nearby. The adult Cetti’s Warblers were in primary moult. Many of the juveniles were in post juvenile moult

Sightings 36 species:
A brief visit from a Kingfisher that flew through a gap in the scrub near the ringing station. One or two other scarce (for the marsh) species in the scrub: Treecreeper and Nuthatch. Just a single Swift seen in the clear blue sky all session.
