Common Western Enclosure Week 29
Session: 19/07/2021, 07:25 to 10:45
hrs
Notes:
Really hot again this session. A few Garden Warblers
trapped early, week 29 is when their numbers begin to build. Similarly Willow Warblers.
The Reed Warbler, away from its normal reed bed habitat, shows summer migrants
are beginning the journey back to winter quarters.
Recaptures:(01)
Whitethroat ringed 09/06/2021
Sightings 33 species: A family party of Mistle Thrushes flew over the heath north. The Green Sandpiper dropped down for a while to the flood pool to the south of the enclosure. The Lesser Whitethroat was skulking on the edge of the enclosure as we took the nets down.
