Notes: A light shower started as we arrived, so we held off for 15 minutes, fortunately it eased so we started the session. It spotted with rain once or twice during the session and a shower began as we started taking the nets down. Despite what the rain radar showed we manage to do the whole session, just. Another BTO ringed Reed Warbler processed today had been ringed at Icklesham, Sussex 24/08/2020. The total (27) for visit 09 is around average for the past decade.

Sightings 31 species: A largish gathering of Swifts swirled high up over towards Thatcham. A female Sparrowhawk carrying prey flew across the reed bed west. Also seen today: Field Vole, Common Frog and Banded Demoiselle
