Session: 19/08/2021, 07:40 to 11:15hrs
Notes: A few more migrants through including some Willow
Warblers with a fat score of three;
most migrants showing zero fat. After nets
down we began cutting back the net rides, thought
would do a quarter of an
hour clearing after each session ready for winter thrushes in Sept/Oct.
Present: JL,IQ,NC
Weather: sunny periods early, overcast later, light breeze,
warm
Nets: 48metres in 3 rides
of 18M, 18M, 12M up from 08:00 to 10:30hrs
Lures Audio: Warblers, Misc
Migrants, Hirundine(part), Redstart, Grasshopper Warbler
Chiffchaff ringed 09/07/2021, 18/08/2021
Sightings: Noticed while ringing,
also IW/JB saw three Grass Snakes in the
water while
checking out the Marsh Frogs in the pool near the gate on to the
common; presumably
preying on the frogs
